Announcing Online Auditions for 2021

 

When: Sunday 27th September 2020

Venue: VIA ZOOM online

Times: 9:30am - 1:30pm

Due to current Stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne, Victoria, the 2021 annual auditions for Company contracts and our Pre-Professional & Graduate Apprentice Programs will take place online via ZOOM on Sunday 27th September 2020.

The audition will consist of a warm-up/stretch then classical ballet class including: barre work, short basic centre work, port de bras and short adagio.  Pointe work for females (barre only), and no allegro. Interviews will be conducted directly after the class and each applicant will be given a link and specific time to log on for their interview.

Successful Company applicants will need to attend a studio audition later in November this year when restrictions ease or alternatively, submit an online solo variation (as required by and at the discretion of Direction). Dancers who have already submitted digital auditions need not re-audition. 

​

Interested applicants for both the company and VSB training programs will need to register by completing the online form, paying the audition fee and emailing his/her dance shots. Company applicants must also forward their CV. 

​

On receipt of registration a ZOOM link for both the audition class and interview will be forwarded to each applicant via email. Registration can be done via the VSB website and then must be emailed to admin@victorianstateballet.org.au

We are still accepting digital auditions for those not available on Sunday 27th September. Please follow the guidelines on the website for the required digital material for both training program and company applicants.
